We build adobe houses using construction techniques of long ago. Combined with the latest knowledge in adobe
construction methods and augmented with our imagination, we create beautiful home designs and let the natural
characteristics of water, earth and the surrounded areas do the rest.
Overview
Adobe homes have exceptional design elements that make them unique. We have brought back our ancestors' old construction methods and build homes by hand, using adobe brick, one of the most reliable, abundant, and oldest construction materials available.
To enhance construction quality, we integrate new techniques to make our houses stronger and longer lasting. The inclusion of these elements and techniques with adobe's natural insulating properties creates a constant comfortable interior temperature. The homes are also resistant to insect and fire damage and the solid construction provides a deep sense of interior tranquility.
About Us
Adobe Made, Cia. Ltda., is a local custom-adobe home building company located in Cotacachi. It is
the only company in Northern Ecuador and one of the very few in the country that specializes in this type of construction. Our company is composed of a team
of local experienced architects, attorneys, financial and real estate professionals, carpenters and dozens of talented
craftsmen. We all are committed to playing an important role in the development of Cotacachi and Ecuador by growing
the local economy and proving our customers with excellent products and services.
Our Homes
Our adobe homes are designed for the climate of the Ecuadorian Andes. The houses are built entirely with adobe (sun
dried bricks made out of clay)-and treated wood beams from regional forests, creating a rustic motif to the home's finish.
The construction techniques utilized are specifically designed to meet or exceed building codes, as a result, our homes
are earthquake and noise resistant and extremely energy efficient. The earthen composition and construction allow the
homes to maintain a constant and very comfortable temperature year round; no need for expensive heating and air
conditioning units.
Our houses are rich in the character of the Spanish Colonial, Mission and Pueblo styles, with optional customization of the layout, orientation, and size of the house, we meet all
customer's expectations. The prices of our homes, at $65.00 per sq. ft. of construction, including the lot, in comparison to the prices of homes in the United States and
Europe, is astonishingly low.

other design elements making our homes even more unique. With customization, homeowners can create the type of
interior environment that they are accustomed to. They will also enjoy the tranquility that characterizes Cotacachi and

All utilities at our projects are underground and include: public water, electricity, individual septic tank or public sewage,
phone lines, cable TV, satellite TV and Hi-speed Internet.
